An aggregate producer based in Jacksonville has purchased a large quarry in Georgia, the second time the property has changed hands in the past15 months. Blue Water Industries of Jacksonville purchased the Daurity Springs Quarry from Fred Smith Co. for $24.09 million, according to a deed filed Nov. 18. This comes after Fred Smith Co, purchased the quarry in August 2021 for $20.51 million. Daurity Springs Quarry, a crushed stone and aggregates facility, is located off State Road 2333 15 minutes northwest of Sanford just outside the small town of Goldston.
