Teknor Apex Co. is relocating color concentrates work done at its plant in Henderson, Ky., to a plant in Jacksonville, Texas. The move is part of an internal restructuring at Pawtucket, R.I.-based Teknor Apex, according to President Suresh Swaminathan. "This is part of a normal process that we do," he said in a phone interview with Plastics News, a sister publication of Rubber News. About 40 jobs will be affected by the move, with those employees being offered positions at a thermoplastic elastomer compounding unit that will continue to operate in Henderson or at Teknor Apex plants in North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
